COVENANT’S AFFILIATIONS AND BELIEFS

Covenant is not a place or the building we meet in. Covenant is a family God has gathered together. Covenant is people. The ministry and activities here have two primary goals. The first is to allow people to serve God and in doing so, the second goal is accomplished and that is to meet the specific needs of others. From our music ministries to our children and small group ministries, Covenant offers challenging opportunities for participation. Interested? Call us at our church office at 304-876-2212. The final authority for all decisions and policies at Covenant is the Bible. We believe that the Bible is God’s Word given by divine inspiration; that Jesus Christ came to earth, died, and rose again in order to pay the penalty for our sins and that we can have forgiveness and eternal life by personally acknowledging Jesus as Lord and Savior. Covenant is voluntarily affiliated with the Maryland/ Delaware Convention of the Southern Baptist Convention. The Southern Baptist Convention is not a hierarchy that in any way owns local church buildings or governs local activities, but a voluntary fellowship of churches for the primary purpose of supporting Christian outreach and missions around the world. Members of Covenant currently come from over a dozen different denominations.
