PROGRAMMING MINISTRIES

WELCOME TEAM Comprised of four smaller groups, the Parking Lot Attendants (PLA’s), Greeters, and Welcome Center volunteers, these ministries set the atmosphere for our Sunday services. Even in the rain or snow, our faithful PLA’s greet you with a smile as they guide you through the busy exchange of cars. Our Greeters seek to give a warm welcome as they pass out programs. Greeters also help in directing folks to our Welcome Center where volunteers will help you find children’s classes, adult classes, and the auditorium. Once in the auditorium, our ushers take over and will help you find your seat. HOSPITALITY MINISTRY: The Hospitality Team serves the special event needs of the church. MUSIC MINISTRY: Covenant has a number of different music ministry opportunities including the following: Our Worship Teams lead our congregation in contemporary, celebrative praise and worship. Our Ensemble is an instrumental group that features variety of orchestral and band instruments and performs approximately every two months. Our Adult Choir is an integral part of our Easter, Christmas, and Patriotic Celebrations, and is featured in our regular services approximately every other month. Adult Choir: Covenant’s adult choir performs in all musical productions. No audition is required. If you are interested in joining the Adult Choir, call the office for practice schedules at 876-2212.  Computer Tech Team: When you see the words to our congregational songs professionally projected onto a screen so you don’t have to hold a songsheet, thank the computer tech team. Drama Ministry: These talented individuals provide “slice-of-life” sketches that punctuate our Cornerstone services. Dance Ministry: This ministry provides opportunities for ministry and growth in the field of biblical worship dance. The dance ministry often works in concert with the music and drama teams to add impact to a presentation. Intercessory Prayer Team: These prayer warriors provide prayer support for specific church services and events, and for all of the volunteers staffing Covenant’s programming teams. Lighting Team: This team provides theater quality lighting for our on-stage presentations. Sound Ministry: Supporting all of our “up front” ministries are the Sound Ministry team. Stage Managers: Covenant has a busy stage! These faithful workers assist the speaking pastor and the other programming teams by ensuring that the stage has a neat and clean appearance and props and pulpits are moved at appropriate times. Tape/Video Duplication Ministry: Those who serve in this area faithfully duplicate sermon tapes and videos for distribution.
