OCEAN CITY - The world comes to Ocean City, Maryland in the form of tourists, summer residents, and international student workers. These student workers come to Ocean City on J-1 visas during the tourist season, both to work and to experience American culture over their summer break from school. As a part of this coastal community, the members of Ocean City Baptist Church are busy meeting the demands of the hectic tourist season.

For many years, Covenant Youth teams have supported the work of OCBC during week-long engagement trips, helping them to serve their community and the world during these busy summer months. Between 2023 and 2024, Covenant Youth teams led VBS for over 300 students. Team members attended a “surf school” that is offered weekly by OCBC as a Gospel outreach opportunity. They engaged with hundreds of international students through meals and game nights, building relationships and bringing encouragement to young people who are far from home. The team also distributed hundreds of water bottles to lifeguards on the beach. Through these acts of service, our Covenant Youth continue to extend the Kingdom of God and share the love of Christ.
